New to CZ. My omega came as pictured so differences from stock included omega system, trigger shape, hammer shape, and sights. OP get the non-omega. Omega has been discontinued and I’m sure by the time something breaks on mine will be a bitch to get spare parts.
The P-01 Omega is made of a durable aluminum frame, a polymer grip, and a steel slide, all of which contribute to providing excellent durability and balance to the pistol. Thanks to its Omega trigger system, which offers a smooth and consistent trigger pull, the Glock 23 also has a low amount of recoil. In addition, the CZ P-01 Omega has a
iTrader: 1 / 100%. Here you can see the SP-01's added front slide serrations while the front of the CZ-85/75's are smooth. The SP-01 comes with a polycote trigger as apposed to the polished metal trigger of the CZ 85. Funny enough the SP-01's poly cote trigger is one of my favorite parts of the pistol.
The CZ P-07 Duty is the next generation of the CZ handgun family. The Duty features the ergonomics and accuracy of the CZ 75 with a totally new trigger system. The new Omega trigger system simplifies the CZ 75 trigger system, uses fewer parts and improves the trigger pull.
About non-Omega CZ triggers: All CZs, equipped with the standard trigger system, whether decocker- or safety-equipped, can be started from the half-cock notch. That is a safe practice, and that position is where the decockers automatically drop the hammer when they decock -- and it's their normal "start" position.
CGW Triggers. This is a faithful reproduction of the “Old Style” 85C trigger, which comes in stainless steel or DLC for an extra charge. The old style trigger is straighter than all CZ triggers and has a very comfortable contoured, ergonomic shape. Made in the USA from 416SS and matte finished.
Two very smooth shooting, absolutely trustworthy, go to war guns. The CZs are the same at a fraction of the cost. That said, I just like my CZs a little better. Both have ok triggers out of the box. I put the short reset in the Sigs and it made the triggers tolerable. I put short reach and short reset triggers in my CZs and they are pretty
The parts to change the pistol to a standard safety are supplied with the CZ 75 Omega. The changeover isn’t difficult for the average shooter. The pistol’s double-action trigger is longer and heavier than a CZ 75B and CZ 75 D Police we had on hand for comparison. The double-action trigger was heavy at 14 pounds, while the single-action
The 85 trigger is exactly the same as the 75 trigger, the only difference is the 85 has an over-travel for the SA. You won't realize any difference in the trigger reach by swapping out the recurve for the 85 and vice-versa. The link provided by railroader shows a pic of my Reach Reduction Kits.
